Diploma in Professional Studies (DPS) student, Youbin Lee has won a Commended Student Award 24/25 from the World Brand Design Society for her response to the project brief for VerdeFlora.

VerdeFlora connects eco-conscious gardeners with sustainable solutions, blending a love for nature with environmental responsibility. The project’s visual identity brings to life the organic beauty of nature through hand-drawn illustrations, a harmonious palette of deep greens and vibrant yellow, and eco-friendly materials like biodegradable packaging and reusable products.

The playful tagline, “Dig the planet? You’ll dig VerdeFlora,” embodies the brand’s mission to empower individuals to grow not just gardens but a greener future.

Youbin says:

After completing my second year in Graphic Media Design, I took a DPS year to pursue internships. Through these experiences, I discovered my passion for branding as a field within graphic design. One of the hottest topics in branding right now is sustainability, which inspired me to create a virtual brand introducing sustainable gardening products. Winning a student award with this project was such an honour and a reflection of my growing interest in this field.
