Sustainable Packaging Design

GMD alumnus, Rory Farrell’s recent elegant packaging solution for LSA International included a sustainability challenge. Rory describes the thinking behind his design:

“Canopy was one of LSA’s flagship collections of spring-summer 2019. The styling of the packaging you see here was a sort of subdued, eastern-bloc, modernist tone, in accordance with LSA’s 1960s Polish origins. The overall look was greatly influenced by the goal of the box’s build being of 100% recyclable and/or compostable materials; limiting me to single-colour compostable ink, vegan glue, unbleached FSC certified paper and recycled board.”
