GMD and DPS alumnus Beccy McCray works as an animation Director at Nexus Productions but in her spare times runs parcitipatory sustainability projects. She has just launched a series of new posters, called ‘Make Friends With Food – 5 Easy Steps’ – a fun call to arms for students using 3D type and a friendly reminder of some simple sustainable actions we can all take when sourcing and disposing of food – because food needs friends too!

She is leading the De La Warr Pavilion’s ‘Learning & Participation Programme’ for their Bridget Riley exhibition this summer. Beccy has devised unexpected and creative ways that the public can respond to Riley’s body of work – the show is open from June 13th – Sept 6th.

This August Beccy will also be back at the Jerwood Gallery as part of their summer Festival of the Sea, where she will be beach coming with the public to source discarded items to turn into colourful characters with the use of simple anthropomorphic features and a glue gun.
