Sayeed Islam

GMD alumnus, Sayeed Islam, has been busy working on the motion design for Bradford: UK City of Culture 2025. He was brought in by Rabbithole, a Leeds-based design studio, to help bring their identity to life. Sayeed contributed from the initial pitch stage through to the execution of the dynamic visual identity.

Developing a motion system that worked across so many formats was a rewarding challenge, especially finding the right balance between typographic and graphic elements. It was particularly satisfying to create a system that complemented the static elements, enhancing the overall design. Rabbithole were great to work with, giving me plenty of creative freedom rather than being prescriptive about how things moved. The main requirement was ensuring the final deliverables allowed for easy updates to images, text, and other elements”.
