MuirMcNeil – ISTD Premier Award

GMD’s Hamish Muir had great news as MuirMcNeil receive an ISTD Premier Award 2014

To add to their two ISTD awards for FF ThreeSix in 2011, MuirMcNeil’s Panopticon, Intersect, Nine and Interact poster series received a coveted ISTD Premier Award 2014 last week. Paul McNeil and Hamish Muir are both Senior Lecturers in the LCC School of Design

“Showcasing MuirMcNeil’s clever set of geometric display typefaces, these silkscreened posters are a celebration of both type and print. While all of the typefaces featured have very practical applications, the posters play around with scale and layering to create striking compositions, acknowledging a rich era of typographic history while still feeling very relevant and of the moment.”
